The
results are in, and the Bill Kenney Homes Team has
scored the winning touchdown. Bill and Sandra Kenney have
led their Bill Kenney Homes Team to past top awards with Realty
Executives/Metro One No. 1 sales ranking in the Kansas City area
ENTIRE STATE of MISSOURI, No. 1 in Jackson County, No. 1 in the
Missouri-Kansas region. The sales team also ranked #1 in the past out of all
real estate companies for region 204 and 205 which encompasses the
city of Lee's Summit and surrounding area as well as Raytown and
surrounding area.
Behind the impressive sales numbers lies the secret
of the Kenneys' success: They genuinely care about meeting the needs
of homebuyers.
"We love and trust Bill and Sandra,"
said Lori Mosier, who lives in Monarch View with her husband, Kirt,
and four children. "As a builder, Bill was great.
He followed through, he cared about my concerns and he was very
professional and kind."
Putting people first has served Bill well in his career
path from All-Pro quarterback to majority leader of the Missouri
Senate to successful real estate broker and builder. Bill was born
in San Francisco, then moved with his family to southern California,
where he graduated from San Clemente High School. As a highly recruited
athlete, Bill first played at Arizona State University & then Saddleback
Junior College in California before transferring to the University
of Northern Colorado, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business
administration.
Despite being a late pick in the National Football
League draft, Bill's hard work and determination paid off. He became
starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs in the late 1970s
and held the job for most of the next decade. In 1984, he rewrote
many of the team's single-season passing records, earning a spot
in the Pro Bowl alongside fellow quarterbacks Dan Fouts, Joe Montana
and Joe Theismann. Bill also led the Chiefs to their first playoff
appearance in more than 15 years.
While playing for the Chiefs, Bill began buying land in the southwestern
part of Lee's Summit, which at the time was mostly rural. After
retiring from football, he and Sandra decided to raise their family
in the area and remain active in the community. Bill was elected
to the first of two terms in the Missouri Senate in 1994, rising
to the position of majority floor leader, where he quarterbacked
key bills through the legislature. He promoted a strong pro-family,
pro-business agenda, earning recognition from the Missouri Health
Care Association, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and the University
of Missouri-Kansas City High School Science, Mathematics and Technology
Institute.
Giving back to the community has always been important to Bill.
He has been an active member of the Missouri Association of Realtors,
Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce, Athletes in Action and the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes. Among his many awards are Outstanding Young
Alumni, University of Northern Colorado (1985); Most Valuable Player,
Kansas City Chiefs, 1983; and Athlete of the Year, Variety Club,
Iowa 1981.
Bill, who had long been interested in real estate, launched his
development career in 1999 when he opened the first phase of Monarch
View.
Sandra helped anchor the family during the long hours that the NFL
demanded of Bill. She home-schooled their children for 13 years
but also became known as a tireless volunteer in area schools, churches
and community organizations. She served for several years as president
of the board for Mother's Refuge, a shelter for homeless, pregnant
teens. After her children became older, Sandra teamed up with Bill
to work in real estate. Her creative thinking, organizational skills
and high-energy leadership can be seen in each of the subdivisions:
|
Sandra helped turn Monarch View from a family farm into the
thriving subdivision it is today. She helped design the project
from the ground up, including street layouts, swimming pool
design and placement of the fishing ponds and model homes. |
|
|
Her entryway designs - including medians, landscaping and
lighting - welcome homeowners to Monarch View and Summit Ridge.
|
|
|
|
She coordinated the development of fully equipped playgrounds
at both subdivisions. |
|
|
|
As marketing director, Sandra handles all promotional materials,
including Web sites, house layouts, brochures and advertising. |
|
|
|
She manages sales offices at each of the subdivisions. All subdivisions are sold out. |
|
|
|
Sandra was human resources manager, in charge of hiring,
training and motivating the sales team. |
One of the great strengths of Bill, Sandra and their
team is helping remove the stress of building a home. Dale and Carrie
Lock moved to The Meadows of Summit Ridge to be closer to the private
school their children attend.
"The foundation already was in,
and we worked with Bill to finish the house," Dale said.
"He was good to work with and always responsive to our questions."
Chris and Karen Littrell, who also live in Summit Ridge, agree.
"We just loved the location and
had nothing but great experiences working with Bill,"
Karen said. "Building a home sometimes is not
a great experience-- but he made it great for us. Our home is wonderful.
We love it."
Awaiting the development of their upcoming and newest SUMMIT VIEW FARMS subdivision in Lee's Summit, they are currently active in remodeling, house additions, listing and selling homes. They continue to help people accomplish their dreams by teaming up with them to achieve winning results.
Bill and Sandra are committed to keeping the momentum
going by helping more buyers find the homes of their dreams. For
the award-winning team of Bill Kenney and Associates and Bill Kenney
Homes, it's always first and goal.
